I work 1-to-1 with music creators & businesses worldwide, helping them solve problems and find new opportunities for their catalogue

I'm here to help

Here I am, accepting an award at the Production Music Awards in London, on behalf of a composer I represent. I've owned a production music label since 1999, which currently operates in more than 65 countries. Before that I was a songwriter/producer and also worked in A&R and as a freelance licensing manager for EDM labels.

In 2002, I wrote the first ever book for musicians who wanted to learn how to get their music in Film & TV (which was imaginatively called "How to Get Your Music in Film & TV" !). You can still find it in book stores.

I regularly lectured on the music business at The European School of Economics and City University London, and I also created the leading B2B platform for sync professionals - CueSheet.net - which is now in it's 25th year. Between 2017 & 2020 I led a team of programmers to create an inhouse metadata and royalty accounting package for music publishers.

As a composer and artist myself, I have generated over 10-million streams, been featured on BBC Radio 2 & ClassicFM, am represented by a leading Film Composer agent and been synced thousand’s of times over the past 25 years, through sync agents and publishers.

So, one way or another, I've seen most of the music industry.

Now, I'm a Music Business Consultant and I'm here to help.

How I can Help

Whether you're a composer, artist, or music entrepreneur, I offer tailored support to help you navigate the music industry and accelerate your path to success. My flagship offering is a one-to-one coaching program designed specifically for composers and artists looking to break into sync — getting their music placed in film, TV, advertising, and beyond. Together, we’ll evaluate your existing catalog, refine your pitch strategy, and identify the production music libraries or sync agents best aligned with your style and goals.

If you’re not ready for a full program but need expert guidance, I can consult with you on pay-as-you-go basis. These focused strategy calls are ideal for troubleshooting, planning your next steps, or gaining clarity on your long-term direction — many clients walk away with an actionable roadmap after just one or two sessions.

Beyond sync coaching, I support artists with key aspects of music business development — from writing successful grant applications (Arts Council, PRS Foundation, PPL Momentum, Help Musicians and others), to business planning for funding pitches, and even setting up your own publishing company or sync agency. If you're looking for help finding a distributor or understanding royalty collection (a common area where musicians leave money on the table), I can guide you through the systems that ensure you’re getting paid what you’re owed.

For those already running a label or music catalog, I offer metadata audits and best-practice strategies to optimise discoverability across multiple sub-publishers and search platforms. And if your goals involve growing your fanbase or revenue, I also bring deep expertise in digital marketing, especially across Google, Facebook, and Instagram — helping you build campaigns that drive real results, whether that's streams, merch sales, or audience growth.

Work with Me

I am based in the U.K, but work with clients all over the world, mostly by video call. I am available for in-person meets in London.

I work on a one-off consultation or ongoing-rebasis.

If you're a new client, we meet (by video call or in-person) to discuss your present situation and what help you need. The cost for this is £100 GBP / $125 US per 30 minutes. Sometimes, I can provide all the help and advice required, in this call: if things are more complex, then we agree a fixed-price for the rest of the work.

Initially though, most people prefer to have a quick video call for us to get to know each other: this call is free and you can book using the yellow 'Book Now' button above.

If you'd rather email me than schedule a free call, please use this form to tell me about yourself and what you need help with.
